Three cases were transferred to the Government Civil Hospital for surgical treatment; 119 to Kennedy Town Hospital suffering from infectious diseases; and 217 to the Plague Branch of the Tung Wah Hospital at Kennedy Town.
87 moribund cases were admitted, 50 of which were Plague.
120 male and 62 female corpses were brought to the Hospital Mortuary for burial. Of these 37 males and 20 females were sent to the Public Mortuary as suspected cases of Plague.
11 males and 5 females dying in the hospital were sent to the Public Mortuary as suspected cases of Plague, a larger number than heretofore. During the quarter, free burial was provided from the charitable funds of the Tung Wah Hospital for 314 persons; this includes burials of all Chinese from Government Civil Hospital and the Public Mortuary not dying from infectious diseases.
12,670 males and 6,750 females, total 19,420, were treated in the out-patient department during the quarter.
146 vaccinations were performed by the Hospital vaccinator during the same period.
233 destitutes were temporarily housed and fed; sent from Registrar General's Office 15, Ship-wrecked 18, Po Leung Kuk 50, from Saigon 168, from Yuen Fat Hong 2, Total: 233.
